10 Cloverfield Lane managed to remain under everyone's radar for years as it went through production and now, its keeping the secrets of its plotline relatively secret as well. Each trailer released for the film have focused on three individuals trapped in a bunker, supposedly avoiding whatever waits outside. But, after further investigation it would seem these trailers are packed with hidden imagery which could lend clues to what the film is about and more importantly - what the hell happened following the end of the first Cloverfield.
Fans across the net have been hard at work looking for and trying to decypher these clues. Below are a collection of some of the currently discovered hidden images and what information they've revealed...
This first image is of a few football players sitting on a bench. I'm sure you're wondering, what does football have to do with a monster movie? Looking closer you'll notice only one number is visible - 68. The rest of the images reference the Navy and also contain hidden numbers and even names. When listed together, they work out to be:
Parachute Pants - 30.6 (Able)
Navy Football - 75 68 (Baker)
Sailor Monkey - 9, -9 (Charlie)
Flotation Vest - 0.12 (Dog)
On Deck - 5742 (Easy)
The common consensus is that these numbers are GPS coordinates and that the names in the images associated with the numbers act as an ordering method. When placed alphabetically, the numbers create the GPS coordinate: 30.675689, -90.125742.
Wen plugged into Google maps, the coordinates display an empty corner lot in Covington, LA.
Well, one fan on Reddit, went to this location and what he found was a burried survivial kit, with more hidden messages! There was a note fro Howard, reading:
"Listen to these and you'll see what I'm talking about. It's almost right on top of us.
You'll need a whole lot more than this kit if you're gonna have a chance to make it to the other side.
Good luck to us all, friend.
